Teaching

Teaching is an extremely important part of my musical life and I treat it with the same importance that I do with my orchestral work. Having studied with a wide variety of some of the most sought after teachers and performers around the world, I have been able to gather a wealth of information that I think is very important to keep passing along to the next generation of musicians.

During my graduate school studies in Los Angeles, I studied privately with and served as teaching assistant to Yehuda Gilad, who is the most sought after clarient pedagogue in the field. I learned invaluable lessons about the instrument, music and performing and was able to observe his lessons with younger students as well as give supplemental lessons to them.  This was a truly rewarding experience and eye-opening for my own playing as well. Working with students to unlock their musical potential and set them on the track for success is one of the most gratifying experiences artists can have.

Having grown up in Charlotte, I value the importance of great musical education and am grateful for what the city offered me when I was a young musician looking to grow. I now hope back to give back to this same community. If you are interested in private instruction or have any questions, please reach out to me through my contact tab and I look forward to hearing from you!
